Dates:
Saturday 25th October to Saturday 1st November 2025
Times:
10.30am: Gates Open
11.00am: Events/Activities Start
5.00pm: Last Entry
7.00pm: Event Finishes
Age Suitability:
The Gwrych Castle Halloween Experience is suitable for adults, and families with children of all ages. Not all activities can be done by everyone and some experiences might be scarier than others, but there will be plenty to do for all ages. We will also have scare ratings in each activity area.
Pumpkin Passport:
All activities are included with your Gwrych Pumpkin Passport.
Your Passport is valid for one full day only. Please buy the Passport for the day you wish to attend.
Please come to Reception on arrival to exchange your e-Passport for a wrist band, which will be valid for entry for one day.
Pre-Booking:
We very strongly recommend to pre-book your Pumpkin Passport for the day you wish to visit well in advance, as there are limited spaces available for each day and you may not be able to book on the door.
If the event is sold out for a particular date we will highlight that on our website, but please don’t risk travelling without a ticket.
Concessions: There are no automatic concession tickets for the Gwrych Castle Halloween Experience, as numbers are limited and there is a full day’s worth of activities for everyone.
Profits: Please note that any and all profits from this event will go to the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust to help restore this incredible landmark building for North Wales. There is no third party commercial operator profiting from the event tickets.
Access:
There are lots of slopes, rough ground and steps around Gwrych as it is an old castle and a listed building.
Although we have tried to make the event as accessible as possible, some activities may not be accessible to wheelchair users or those with very limited mobility – so please call in advance if this relates to you and we can discuss access issue and what assistance we can offer.
Food and Drink:
There will be food and drink outlets available throughout the event, selling a wide choice of hot and cold food, snacks and treats, so you don’t need to bring your own picnic, sweets or coffee with you.
Clothing and Footwear:
A number of the activities are outside, and the indoor spaces are not all heated, so please wear appropriate warm and weather proof clothing for a full day.
The terrain in places can be uneven under foot so please wear robust outdoor footwear.
Lighting and Torches:
We are fortunate that the clocks go back on the 25th October, and therefore the Experience will run in the dark for the last hour or so of each day.
There is some lighting around the Castle but there will be areas that you will need torches, including to and from the car park.
Please bring torches with you - and if you forget they will be available to buy in the shop.
Dressing Up / Costumes – Prizes:
We love it when our guests come dressed up for Halloween – and we will be offering a daily fun prize for the best dressed family or group - which means the grown-ups too!
Refunds and Exchanges:
We will not be able to offer any refunds for this event, if you wish to cancel after the 30th September 2025. You will be able to cancel your tickets prior to that date and receive a full refund.
You will not be able to exchange your Passports for an alternative date once you have purchased, as we have a limited number available per day.

Help support Gwrych Castle
If you are a UK taxpayer, you have the choice of two entry tickets:
