General Admission
PLEASE NOTE: We're closed to the public from 24th December and will reopen on Saturday 4th January. We will be open every weekend and half-term holidays from January - March. You can book your tickets on this page.
Gwrych Castle is an enchanting gothic ruin on the picturesque North Wales coastline, with spectacular sea views and fairytale splendour around every corner.
The castle was used as a set location for various filming such as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! A few elements from filming over the years are on display as part of our historical exhibition.
The main building itself remains a ruin, however we have a few interior areas available along our scenic visitor route. Click on the link below to find out what to expect during your visit to Gwrych Castle.

ACCESSIBILITY
The Castle was built into a hill and remains a ruin, subsequently the terrain is uneven with many steps, slopes, and steep footpaths throughout the estate. Many of the footpaths are unsuitable for pushchairs, self-drive three wheeled vehicles and wheelchairs. Sensible footwear is always recommended.
We have an accessible route for disabled visitors during normal opening hours and excluding events, please make us aware at the Ticket Office if you require disabled parking. The route avoids steps, but does include a slope which can be tiring for a person assisting, along with steps to and from the gardens | Please read more here
*We do not allow drones on site without prior approval from ourselves. Please contact us before using a drone on the Gwrych Castle Estate. You can find our terms & conditions here.
Ticket options
Help support Gwrych Castle
If you are a UK taxpayer, you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission; or
- Standard admission
As we operate a Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a choice between the Gift Aid Admission price or standard admission price. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose, just let us know when you come to pay.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10% or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid — an extra 25% — potentially a very significant boost to our funds.
Payment of the additional percentage donation is entirely voluntary, so if you prefer to pay the standard admission please advise our staff at the till point or select the standard admission price toggle below when booking online.
